Harry Kane, Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé are among the leading contenders for the 2026 Ballon d’Or after the 30-man shortlist was unveiled on Tuesday.
Kane earned his nomination following a prolific season for Bayern Munich and England, while Barcelona star Yamal and Real Madrid forward Mbappé also made the list after impressive campaigns for club and country.
The trio are joined by several of football’s biggest names, with the winner expected to be announced at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in London on October 26.
Lionel Messi has also returned to the shortlist for the first time since 2023, when he won the award for a record eighth time following his move to Inter Miami.
