President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, praising his contributions to public service and national development.
In a birthday message, Akpabio described Shettima as an accomplished public servant, a patriot and a leader who has demonstrated commitment to Nigeria through different levels of responsibility.
The Senate President highlighted Shettima’s journey from serving as a Commissioner and Governor of Borno State to becoming a Senator and Vice President of Nigeria.
He particularly recalled Shettima’s tenure as Borno State Governor during a difficult period of terrorism and insecurity, noting that his leadership and resilience helped sustain hope among the people.
Akpabio also commended the Vice President for working with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in implementing the Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing the importance of cooperation at the highest level of government in tackling national challenges.
