The Nigerian stock market sustained its positive performance as investors recorded gains across key market indicators, reflecting continued bullish sentiment on the Nigerian Exchange.
The All-Share Index advanced by 2.15 per cent to close at 234,179.20 points, while market capitalisation rose to ₦150.271 trillion.
The market’s year-to-date return increased to 49.48 per cent, while both the month-to-date and week-to-date returns stood at 2.07 per cent.
Trading activity remained strong, with 538 million shares exchanged in 64,065 deals, valued at approximately ₦38.7 billion.
Among the top gainers, First HoldCo appreciated by 10 per cent to close at ₦60.50, Wema Bank gained 10 per cent to ₦29.70, while Aradel Holdings also rose by 10 per cent to close at ₦1,430.50.
On the losers’ chart, Vitafoam Nigeria declined by 10 per cent to ₦170.10, Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) shed 10 per cent to close at ₦136.65, while Chemical and Allied Products (CAP) fell by 9.99 per cent to ₦157.60.
