The Lagos State Government has expanded office accommodation for public servants by more than 19,500 square metres as part of efforts to address workspace shortages and reduce expenditure on rented office facilities.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Works, Adekunle Olayinka, disclosed this during the 2026 Ministerial Press Briefing held in Alausa, Ikeja.
According to Olayinka, the additional office space was created through the completion of major projects, including the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administrative Complex and the Revenue House at the State Secretariat.
He noted that the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is also advancing key infrastructure projects across the health sector, including the Massey Children’s Hospital, Ojo General Hospital, and the Psychiatric Hospital Ketu-Ejinrin.
Olayinka stated that the state government remains committed to the maintenance, rehabilitation, and upgrading of existing infrastructure to enhance service delivery and improve the working environment for public servants.
He further reaffirmed the government’s commitment to enforcing construction quality standards while continuing to invest in projects aimed at driving economic growth and sustainable development across the state.
The Lagos State Government said the ongoing infrastructure programme is designed to support efficient governance, strengthen public institutions, and meet the demands of a rapidly growing population.
