Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have pledged to deploy the party’s structures across the country in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The governors, under the Progressive Governors’ Forum, PGF, say the APC’s grassroots structures will play a major role in mobilising support for the President ahead of the general elections.
They expressed confidence in the party’s organisational strength and stressed the need for greater coordination among the APC leadership, governors and other stakeholders.
The governors also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the party ahead of the elections, with emphasis on unity, grassroots mobilisation and effective party structures.
The development comes as the APC intensifies preparations for the 2027 general elections and mobilises support for President Tinubu’s bid for a second term.
