Lagos will host the 2026 CAF Awards on December 7, bringing the prestigious continental football ceremony back to the city more than 11 years after it was last staged there.
The Confederation of African Football confirmed Lagos as the host city in an updated events schedule released on Sunday.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts in Iganmu, formerly known as the National Theatre.
This will be the fourth time Lagos has hosted the CAF Awards, following previous editions in 2008, 2013 and 2014.
The last CAF Awards ceremony in Lagos was held on January 8, 2015.
At that edition, former Ivory Coast captain Yaya Toure was named African Player of the Year for a record fourth consecutive time.
