The Lagos State Government says it has completed 362 roads spanning approximately 347 kilometres since 2019 under the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Infrastructure, Olufemi Daramola, disclosed this during the 2026 Ministerial Press Briefing held in Alausa, Ikeja.
According to Daramola, the state government is preparing to inaugurate 12 newly completed road projects, while construction continues on 181 ongoing road and bridge projects across the state.
He revealed that 130 roads covering more than 113 kilometres were completed within the last year. Among the projects delivered are the Opebi–Mende Link Bridge, Babajide Sanwo-Olu Road in Agege, and Abaranje Road in Alimosho.
The Special Adviser noted that the administration remains committed to expanding transportation infrastructure despite economic challenges, rising construction costs, and increasing urbanisation.
Daramola also disclosed that the Lagos State Public Works Corporation has carried out intervention works on 957 roads since June 2025.
In addition, he said the Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency recorded a 300 per cent increase in revenue and continues to support broadband infrastructure expansion across the state.
The state government said the ongoing projects form part of broader efforts to improve connectivity, ease transportation, and support economic growth across Lagos.
