Chelsea have been fined £10 million and handed a suspended two-transfer-window ban after being found guilty of breaching rules relating to payments made to agents between 2009 and 2022.

The club, however, successfully appealed against a suspended six-point deduction, which had been due to remain in place until June 30, 2027.

Chelsea’s current owners, Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, self-reported 74 breaches of Football Association regulations after completing their takeover of the club in 2022.

The initial fine of £26 million was reduced by a third because Chelsea voluntarily reported the breaches and cooperated with the investigation.

Further reductions were granted following an early guilty plea and in recognition of sanctions already imposed by UEFA and the Premier League, bringing the final fine to £10 million.

The two-transfer-window ban remains suspended.
