The Ondo State Police Command, Nigerian Army and National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have pledged stronger collaboration in tackling crime and drug abuse across the state.
The commitment followed separate visits by the NDLEA Commander of Narcotics in Ondo State, Afolayemi Adeyemo, and Commander of the 32 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Jubril Garba, to the Commissioner of Police, Felix Ohagwu, in Akure.
The engagements focused on intelligence sharing, joint operations, information exchange and closer coordination among the security agencies.
Adeyemo said stronger cooperation with the Police would enhance the NDLEA’s efforts to combat drug abuse and identify and dismantle criminal syndicates.
Brigadier General Garba also stressed the importance of intelligence sharing, joint operations and regular security meetings in developing coordinated strategies against crime.
