Tenerife striker Jesus de Miguel has died after suffering serious injuries during a Spanish second-division match against FC Andorra on Monday.
The 30-year-old sustained head and chest injuries following a heavy collision with Andorra goalkeeper Jesus Owono, who was sent off for the challenge.

De Miguel’s condition was initially described as stable but serious. However, his health deteriorated on Tuesday morning, and he died at 8:00 a.m. local time.
The incident occurred seven minutes into stoppage time, with both teams level at 2-2.
Players from both sides were visibly distressed, with several of De Miguel’s teammates seen in tears.
The referee issued Owono a straight red card before abandoning the match.
