The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has charged officers and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force to remain professional, combat-ready and committed to delivering decisive air power in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
Speaking at the first Nigerian Air Force Safety Review Board Meeting for 2026 in Abuja, Air Marshal Aneke said the forum was not only to review safety records but also to identify the root causes of incidents, address systemic gaps and develop practical measures to prevent future occurrences.
He said the meeting provides a strategic platform to assess the Air Force’s safety performance, evaluate emerging operational risks, identify areas requiring improvement and strengthen the safety culture across all Nigerian Air Force operations.
The Chief of the Air Staff reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to maintaining high safety standards while sustaining effective air operations in support of national security efforts.
