Arsenal have opened discussions with Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal over a possible transfer of Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli.
The 25-year-old has been told by manager Mikel Arteta that he is not part of his plans and can leave the club this summer.
Galatasaray previously expressed interest in Martinelli and submitted a bid worth about 38.5 million pounds, but the Brazilian was unwilling to consider a move to the Turkish club.
Al-Hilal have now informed Arsenal that they are prepared to offer more than Galatasaray’s proposal as negotiations continue.
Martinelli joined Arsenal from Brazilian club Ituano in 2019 and has 12 months remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
