Manager Mikel Arteta is looking to add more options to his defence and has identified the 23-year-old as a possible signing because of his ability to operate at both centre-back and right-back.
Quansah has returned to Leverkusen after receiving an extended break following his involvement with England at the World Cup, where he featured in three matches.
The defender joined the German club from boyhood side Liverpool last summer and went on to make 44 appearances during his first season with Leverkusen.
