Some leaders of the All Progressives Congress under the APC Solidarity Group have petitioned the party’s National Working Committee, seeking sanctions against former Benue State Chairman, Austin Agada, over alleged anti-party activities.
The petition, signed by the group’s National Organising Secretary, Sa’idu Muhammad, accused Agada of endorsing candidates from other political parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group specifically accused Agada of supporting Peoples Democratic Party Senator Abba Moro for the Benue South senatorial seat.
It alleged that Agada publicly promoted banners featuring President Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, alongside Moro, a PDP senator.
The group is asking the APC National Working Committee to establish an investigative panel and invite Agada to respond to the allegations.
It also wants a disciplinary committee constituted to sanction him if found guilty and for any disciplinary action taken to be made public as a deterrent to other party members.
The petition, dated October 2, 2026, also accused Agada of opposing APC candidates for governorship, Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly positions in Benue South Senatorial District.
