Social media influencer, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, arrived at the National Assembly on Monday, accompanied by his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju.
He appeared before the House of Representatives Joint Committee investigating allegations of corruption involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS).
Bobrisky’s lawyer, Averosoghene Omuvwie, alongside representatives from the EFCC and NCoS, were also present. However, Bobrisky, also known as Idris Okuneye, had not yet arrived at the time.
When invited to speak, VeryDarkMan declined, stating, “Today, I will not say anything because an invitation was given to both Bobrisky and me. But since he is not here, I won’t speak, but my lawyer will.”

The investigation follows a viral audio clip where Bobrisky allegedly claimed to have bribed EFCC officials with N15 million to drop a money laundering charge. Additionally, the audio alleged that Bobrisky never served his six-month jail term but stayed in an apartment instead.
Bobrisky has denied the claims and threatened legal action, leading to the House of Representatives initiating a probe into the allegations.
