NIGERIA’S FLAMINGOS UNVEIL SQUAD FOR 2024 FIFA UNDER-17 WOMEN’S WORLD CUP

Nigeria’s Flamingos have unveiled their squad of 21 players who will represent the country at the 2024 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic.

Head Coach Bankole Olowookere has included Captain Taiwo Afolabi, along with forwards Harmony Chidi and Peace Effiong, in the squad for the tournament, which is scheduled to take place from 16th October to 3rd November.

Nigeria will compete in Group A of the 16-nation tournament, facing host nations Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and New Zealand.

The Flamingos’ delegation will depart Nigeria on Tuesday, 1st October, for a two-week training camp in Santo Domingo, the capital city of the Dominican Republic, in preparation for the tournament.
