Kaduna Takes Action, Relocates 359 Schools Amid Rising Banditry Threats

Date:

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has expressed concern over the decrease in school enrollment among pupils across the state.

Senator Sani, who voiced his concerns, attributed it to the rise in insecurity, particularly kidnappings, banditry, and other related crimes, within the state.

He disclosed that the government initiated a plan to relocate 359 schools from areas plagued by terrorism, merging them with other schools in secure locations.

This disclosure was made during the opening of a one-day capacity-building program organized by the Nigeria Police Force School Protection Squad in Kaduna yesterday.

The Governor applauded the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukayode Egbetokun, for launching the School’s Protection Squad, an initiative designed to proactively improve security and safety in educational institutions throughout Nigeria.
