Real Madrid Set to Lock Horns with Borussia Dortmund in Champions League Final

Date:

14-time winners, Real Madrid of Spain will be facing German Club, Borussia Dortmund in the Final of this year’s Champions League following a four- three aggregate victory over Bayern Munich.

Real Madrid won the return leg, two-one, courtesy of two late goals from Joselu, with the first leg having ended two-two in Germany last week.

Bayern looked to be heading to the final on Wednesday night when Alphonso Davies cut in and blasted past goalkeeper Andriy Lunin after Harry Kane had found him with a superb pass.

But Joselu grabbed an 88th-minute equaliser when he reacted quickest after Bayern Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who had been excellent up until then, fumbled Vinicius Junior’s effort.

Joselu scored the winner two minutes later, sparking incredible scenes of celebration among the home fans.

The final match between Real Madrid and Dortmund will be held on Saturday, June 1, at Wembley.
