Former Adamawa State Governor Jibrilla Bindow has returned to the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Bindow formally re-registered with the APC at his ward in Mubi, Adamawa State, on Sunday, ending a three-year absence from the ruling party.
The former governor left the APC in January 2023 after losing the party’s governorship ticket.
He says his decision to return followed consultations with political associates and key party leaders, including Vice-President Kashim Shettima.
Bindow also disclosed that he recently met with President Bola Tinubu, describing the meeting as pleasant and memorable.

The former governor pledged to support APC candidates in Adamawa State and work towards the party’s victory in the 2027 elections.
He maintained that his return was not driven by personal ambition or an attempt to create divisions within the party, but by a desire to contribute to strengthening the APC.
Bindow had earlier indicated interest in contesting the 2027 Adamawa governorship election under the African Democratic Congress but withdrew from the race in May.
