Algiers
Rangers International of Enugu have petitioned the Confederation of African Football, CAF, over alleged vandalism at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta by supporters of Algerian club MC Alger.
The two teams met on Sunday in the first leg of their CAF Champions League second-round qualifying tie, with Rangers securing a 2-0 victory.
Rangers say violence broke out after the match, with more than 400 visiting supporters allegedly damaging seats in the covered stands.
The Nigerian club also accused the visiting fans of destroying a stadium entrance gate, entering the venue without paying admission fees and engaging in other acts of disorder.

Rangers have urged CAF to consider appropriate precautionary measures ahead of the return leg scheduled for Friday, October 23, in Algiers.
The club reaffirmed its commitment to fair play, football regulations and the safety of players, officials and supporters.
Rangers also expressed confidence in CAF’s established processes as it awaits action over the alleged incident.
