Nigeria’s crude oil and condensate production rose to an average of 1.74 million barrels per day in June 2026, marking a fourth consecutive month of growth and the country’s highest production level in more than six years.
Data released by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) showed that crude oil production averaged 1.56 million barrels per day, while condensate output stood at 0.18 million barrels per day.
The crude oil output exceeded Nigeria’s OPEC production quota of 1.5 million barrels per day, representing 104 per cent compliance and the country’s highest monthly crude production since April 2020.
Total crude oil and condensate production peaked at 1.89 million barrels per day during the month, with daily output ranging between 1.57 million and 1.89 million barrels.
The NUPRC attributed the improved performance to stable operations across producing assets and the absence of major pipeline disruptions, noting that production has recorded steady growth over the past four months.
