At least four people were killed and seven others injured after Ukrainian drone strikes targeted several regions of Russia, including the Moscow region, as Kyiv intensified attacks in response to continued Russian bombardments.
Authorities in the Moscow region said three people were killed and three others injured after a drone crashed in the settlement of Pionersky in Istra. Two additional people were wounded in separate incidents, while air defence systems reportedly intercepted 81 drones over the region.
In Russia’s Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine, a woman was killed in a drone strike, while two men sustained injuries in separate attacks.
Another drone strike triggered a fire at an industrial facility in Russia’s Stavropol region, although officials said no casualties were recorded.
The latest attacks come as Ukraine continues to target Russian infrastructure and military assets, describing the operations as retaliation for Moscow’s prolonged offensive. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s international allies are meeting in Paris to discuss additional measures aimed at increasing pressure on Russia to end the conflict.
