Wikki Tourists, Barau FC, Warri Wolves, Kun Khalifat Earn NPFL Promotion from NNL Super 8

Four clubs—Wikki Tourists of Bauchi, Barau FC of Kano, Warri Wolves, and Kun Khalifat of Owerri—have secured promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) following the conclusion of group stage matches in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 playoffs in Asaba, Delta State.

Wikki Tourists sealed their return to top-flight football with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Yobe Desert Stars, while Barau FC booked their place in the NPFL with a 2-0 win against Doma United.

Warri Wolves confirmed their promotion after edging Crown FC 2-1, and Kun Khalifat earned the final promotion spot with a 2-1 triumph over Osun United.

The Super 8 playoffs serve as the final hurdle in the NNL season, determining the quartet of teams that ascend to Nigeria’s elite football division.
