Arsenal have announced the signing of Brentford skipper Christian Norgaard in a deal valued at up to £15 million, as the North London club continues its summer reinforcement under manager Mikel Arteta.
The 31-year-old Danish midfielder has signed a two-year contract with an option for a third, becoming the Gunners’ third acquisition of the summer transfer window.
Norgaard joins a growing list of arrivals at the Emirates, following the signings of Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi.
Known for his tactical intelligence and leadership, Norgaard adds depth and Premier League experience to Arteta’s midfield, having made 122 appearances in England’s top flight during his time at Brentford.
