The Federal College of Education (FCE), Iwo, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with traditional institutions as part of efforts to accelerate growth and academic excellence.

During a courtesy visit to the palace of the Oluwo of Iwoland on Tuesday, 1st July 2025, the College emphasised the critical role of traditional leadership in supporting its development since inception.
The visit was led by the Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr. Adeniyi Olatunde Adenuga, who acknowledged the monarch’s longstanding support and engagement.
The College expressed appreciation for the royal institution’s contributions through advocacy, goodwill, and stakeholder mobilisation, noting that such efforts have laid a strong foundation for progress. It also appealed for continued support from the local community, prominent indigenes, and members of the Iwo diaspora to assist in areas such as infrastructure, scholarships, and institutional partnerships.

The engagement reinforced a shared vision to position FCE Iwo as one of Nigeria’s leading teacher-training institutions, driven by inclusive support and sustained community collaboration.
