Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, has called off his trip to the United States of America and has returned to Nigeria.
Senator Shettima was billed to attend the 2024 US-Africa Business Summit in Dallas, Texas.
According to a statement issued by the President’s Media and Communications Aide, Mr. Stanley Nkwocha, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, will now attend the Summit in Dallas, Texas, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Mr. Nkwocha revealed a technical issue with the Vice President’s aircraft, prompting a diversion based on the advice of the Presidential Air Fleet.”
He also added that the Vice President will carry on with other National duties.
