Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has issued a stern warning to individuals or groups engaging in vigilantism. He warned that such behavior goes against civilized and legal norms and will face legal repercussions.
The Governor has visited Ada Rice Settlement to address communal land disputes and to foster peace-building efforts. He highlighted the tensions among communities such as Adani, Igga, and others.
Governor Mbah subsequently directed a crackdown on criminal activities in the Uzo Uwani Local Government Area due to concerns regarding breaches in safety and security.
Meanwhile, representatives from Adani and Igga Communities have expressed strong endorsement for the governor’s initiatives, pledging their full cooperation with security agencies, thereby bolstering government endeavours to restore security and stability in the region.
