The Nigerian national football team, popularly known as the Super Eagles, has been drawn in the same group with Madagascar, Tanzania, and Guinea-Bissau for the qualification series of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The draw ceremony was held on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association in Cairo.
With Tanzania already assured of qualification as one of the co-hosts of the tournament, only one additional team from the group will secure a place at the 2027 AFCON finals.
The qualification matches are scheduled to be played during three FIFA international windows between September 2026 and March 2027.

The Super Eagles will be aiming to secure qualification ahead of Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau in what is expected to be a competitive group campaign.
