Sports Minister, Senator Enoh Extends Condolences to Tijani Babangida and Family After Tragic Loss

Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, has extended his heartfelt condolences to former Super Eagles star Tijani Babangida and his family on the tragic loss of his brother, Ibrahim Babangida, in a fatal car accident.

The Minister’s condolence message came in a statement on Friday morning by his Special Assistant on Media, Ms. Diana-Mary Nsan.

Tijani Babangida, a gold medalist at the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games and President of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria was involved in a devastating car accident on Thursday along the Kaduna-Zaria Road.

The crash claimed the life of his younger brother, Ibrahim Babangida, who represented Nigeria at the 1993 FIFA Under-17 World Cup-winning Golden Eaglets squad in Japan.

In the wake of the heartbreaking tragedy, Senator Enoh offers his deepest sympathies and support to Tijani Babangida and his family during this difficult time.

The Sports Minister urged everyone in Nigeria’s sports fraternity to keep the Babangida family in their thoughts and prayers.
