The newly sworn-in Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, joined by his family, Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, and party supporters, held a thanksgiving service at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City. The event, “A New Edo is Rising,” celebrated their electoral victory and sought divine guidance for the administration’s journey ahead.
Pastor Moses Oliyemi, a Zonal Pastor with Christ Embassy Benin, urged the Governor to prioritize God and the welfare of Edo State’s citizens in his leadership. In his remarks, Governor Okpebholo expressed deep gratitude to the people for their trust and pledged to govern with fairness, transparency, and innovation.
He affirmed his commitment to addressing challenges in the state while fostering positive change alongside his team, including Senator Oshiomhole. The stadium echoed with prayers and songs, creating a hopeful atmosphere among attendees, many of whom viewed the event as a new dawn for Edo.
