President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has called for greater unity, patriotism and faith in Nigeria as the country marks its 66th Independence Anniversary.
Speaking at the Independence Anniversary Interdenominational Church Service in Abuja, Akpabio expressed confidence that Nigeria would overcome its current challenges and emerge more peaceful and prosperous. Blueprint Newspapers Limited
The Senate President urged Nigerians to reject tribalism, bitterness and division and remain committed to building a country that future generations would be proud to inherit.
He also called on citizens to look beyond the challenges of insecurity, economic hardship and division and maintain hope in the country’s future.
Akpabio stressed the need for responsible citizenship, urging Nigerians to promote peace, justice and national unity, particularly as the country prepares for the 2027 general elections. Standard Times NG
