ROAD CONSTRUCTION: Pastor Umo Eno Commissions Roads in Shelter Afrique

Akwa Ibom Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has commissioned three internal roads at the Shelter Afrique Estate in Uyo the State capital.

Pastor Eno, while inaugurating the roads which comprise 1.8kilometers Paul Ekpo Crescent, 1.0 Emmanuel Ekon Avenue, and 0.8 Obot Emem Street on Monday, reiterated his pledge to complete projects initiated by the previous government and further directed the construction of another 3kilometers road within the estate.

The Commissioner for Works and Fire Service, Prof. Eno Ibanga said the roads play a pivotal role in connecting various neighborhoods and enhancing accessibility within the city stating that the road is symbolic of Governor Umo Eno’s commitment to modernization and urban development.

The Chairman of the Uyo Local Government Transition Committee, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo, described the Governor Umo Eno-led Administration as non-discriminatory as project execution cuts across the poor, the middle, and the high class in the State noting that Uyo, the seat of government, has benefitted tremendously in the current administration.

Some Leaders in the State, including the Former Member Representing Abak/Ika Etim Ekpo Federal Constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Ekon; the Member Representing Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency, Mr. Paul Ekpo and the Director-General of Government Business, Ambassador Assam Assam commended Pastor Umo Eno on his bipartisanship approach to governance as exemplified in the construction of the roads that harbored people from different political backgrounds.
