Akwa Ibom State Police Public Relations Officer has confirmed the kidnapping of the Paramount Ruler of Mbo Local Government Area (LGA), HRM Ogwong Okon A. Abang, at his palace in Egughu.
The Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) of the Command, ASP Timfon John, who confirmed the incident, said the Commissioner of Police, Ayilara Waheed Adedamola, and other Service Commanders, including the Commissioner for Internal Security, have traveled to Mbo Local Council to ascertain the situation.
However, this abduction follows the recent kidnapping of Dr. John Robbin Esu, a Medical Doctor who remains in captivity nearly three weeks after his abduction.
