Nigeria’s Flamingos to Face Liberia for Spot at FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Dominican Republic

Nigeria’s U17 Women’s Team, the Flamingos, will compete against Liberia in the final round of Qualifiers for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.

This follows their 6-0 victory over Burkina Faso at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

Meanwhile, Liberia advanced after defeating Senegal 2-0 in Monrovia, overturning a 1-3 first-leg deficit.

Liberia hosts Nigeria for the first leg on Saturday, June 8th, with the return leg a week later in Abuja.

In the other qualifiers, Burundi takes on Kenya, while Zambia faces Morocco.

Three African teams will secure spots in the 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic, scheduled for October 16th to November 3rd, 2024.
