NPFL: RIVERS UNITED EDGES OUT NIGER TORNADOES TO RECLAIM LEAGUE LEAD

Rivers United has reclaimed the top position in the Nigeria Premier Football League following a one-nil victory over Niger Tornadoes in Minna on Monday.

Seiyefa Jackson scored the decisive goal for Coach Finidi George’s team just four minutes into the second half.

The Port Harcourt club remains unbeaten after eight matches in the current NPFL season.

In other matches on Monday, Shooting Stars secured a narrow one-zero win against Katsina United in Ibadan.

Meanwhile, Akwa United was held to a goalless draw by Rangers International of Enugu in Uyo, and Ikorodu City triumphed over Lobi Stars with a four-two victory in Lagos.
