NEYMAR RETURNS TO ACTION FOR AL-HILAL AFTER YEAR-LONG INJURY LAYOFF

Date:

Brazilian forward Neymar has made his long-awaited return to action for Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, appearing for the first time in over a year after recovering from surgery on his left knee.

The 32-year-old player came on as a substitute in the 77th minute during his team’s dramatic five-four victory over UAE Pro League side Al-Ain in the Asian Champions League.

Neymar sustained his injury on 17th October 2023, while representing Brazil in a 2026 World Cup qualifier against Uruguay.

He joined Al-Hilal from PSG in August 2023 but managed to make only five appearances for the club before rupturing his ACL.
