NDDC BEGINS EMERGENCY REPAIRS ON WARRI-BENIN EAST-WEST ROAD

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has commenced emergency repairs on critical sections of the East-West Road connecting Warri in Delta State to Benin in Edo State, following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive. The repairs focus on areas such as Ibadulume, Amukpe roundabout, Mosoga, and Ologbo.

NDDC Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, expressed gratitude to the President for re-awarding the contract and emphasized the commission’s swift action in mobilizing a civil engineering firm to address the long-standing road issues. He highlighted the Federal Government’s supervision of the project, ensuring its durability.

The Managing Director of the construction firm, Mr. Adara Opeoluwa, briefed the NDDC inspection team, outlining the three-kilometer portions to be repaired in the aforementioned areas. The NDDC assured the public of a speedy and efficient completion.
