Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has launched a USSD code, 8011047#, to streamline tax payments for informal sector workers.
Speaking at the launch, Governor Sule commended the Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service for its innovative approach, emphasizing the system’s potential to prevent revenue leakages and simplify tax processes.
Chairman of the Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service, Ahmed Mohammed Yakubu, lauded the Governor’s support, noting that increased revenue from this initiative would enable the state to invest more in critical infrastructure and services. Public education campaigns are ongoing to ensure the system’s success and accessibility.
