Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, has pledged his support for the African University Games, which will be held in Nigeria next month.
The Sports Minister promised that his Ministry will do everything possible to ensure the successful hosting of the event during a courtesy visit from the organizing committee in his Abuja office.

Senator Enoh also indicated that, following the Paralympic Games, he plans to lead a delegation to the Ministry of Education to explore potential collaborations aimed at enhancing school sports development.
Chairman of the organizing committee for the FASU Games, Dr. Mohammed Bawa, raised concerns about the two hundred dollars mandatory visa fee.
He requested that the Minister work with his counterpart in the Ministry of Interior to secure a waiver for students.
The 11th African University Games are scheduled to take place from 20th to 29th September to be co-hosted by Lagos State University and the University of Lagos.
