Minister of Justice Debunks President Tinubu’s Alleged Support for Mr. Osigwe in Nigerian Bar Association Vote

Date:

Minister of Justice, Mr. Lateef Fagbemi, has debunked claims circulating on social media that President Bola Tinubu endorsed Mr. Afam Osigwe, as his preferred candidate in the Nigerian Bar Association election.

Mr. Fagbemi in a statement clarified that President Tinubu has not given any such instruction and emphasised that the news is entirely false.

He attributed the claim to mischief makers seeking cheap popularity to ride on the acceptance of President Tinubu among lawyers.

He called on those who are bent on causing disaffection among NBA members to desist from such an unprofitable venture.
