Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, has called upon Nigerian Athletes to strive for outstanding performances and secure podium finishes at the upcoming 2024 Olympic games in Paris, France.
Senator Enoh delivered these remarks in Abuja during the Official Ceremony marking the handover and farewell of Team Nigeria’s Contingent to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Addressing the Athletes, Senator Enoh emphasized the significance of diligence and commitment in achieving podium positions at the games.
He also revealed that President Bola Tinubu has fully endorsed the budget for the games, underscoring the administration’s steadfast dedication to sporting excellence.
Sports Minister Enoh therefore urged team Nigeria members to bring pride to the President and the Nation on the global stage in Paris.
He highlighted the crucial role of international training camps across various sports, aimed at ensuring that athletes are physically, technically, and tactically prepared for the challenges ahead in Paris.
The ceremony featured the official unveiling of team Nigeria’s uniforms designated for use during the Paris games.
