Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, has revealed that the Ministry, in collaboration with the Nigerian Olympic Committee and relevant federations, is finalizing Team Nigeria’s preparation plans for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics.
In a statement, Senator Enoh underscored the extensive efforts underway to ensure that Team Nigeria is thoroughly prepared to compete for honors at this esteemed global event.
He disclosed that various sports teams have commenced their foreign training programs, with the Super Falcons currently in Spain and the Basketball team training in Germany.
Senator Enoh emphasized the critical role of pre-Olympic camps in helping athletes achieve focus, fine-tuning, and a distraction-free environment conducive to optimal performance.
He expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his steadfast support towards Team Nigeria’s Olympic preparations.
The Minister also highlighted the ongoing contributions of the Ministerial Podium Performance Committee, which continues to provide regular updates and collaborate closely with teams to ensure Nigeria’s athletes are in peak condition to compete for medals at the Games.
Paris Olympics will run from 26th July to 11th August, 2024.
