Mikel Arteta has agreed a new three-year contract at Arsenal, extending his current deal with the English Premier League team until 2027.
The 42-year-old has been in charge of Arsenal since 2019 and has led them to successive second-place Premier League finishes but had entered the final 12 months of his deal at the club.
Under his leadership, Arsenal secured the FA Cup at the end of the 2019-2020 season, marking Arteta’s first major trophy as a manager.
After three games this season, Arsenal is currently in fourth place. The team won their first two matches against Wolves and Aston Villa before drawing with Brighton.
