Mariam Eniola Bolaji Delivers Nigeria’s First Medal of the Paris Paralympics

Mariam Eniola Bolaji has secured Nigeria’s first medal at the Paris Paralympic Games.

Bolaji triumphed in the Para-Badminton competition, defeating Ukrainian Oksana Kozyna in straight sets with scores of 21-9 and 21-9 to claim the bronze medal on Monday morning.

This victory also makes Bolaji the first African athlete to win a medal in Paralympic Badminton.

In response to Bolaji’s historic achievement, Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh commended her for her outstanding performance.

He expressed national pride and extended gratitude to Bolaji for honouring her legacy, her late coach, and the entire nation.
