The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has held a stakeholders’ meeting in Osun State with representatives of political parties, civil society organisations and other key stakeholders ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.
The engagement is aimed at promoting a peaceful, credible and transparent electoral process while strengthening cooperation among stakeholders.
Security agencies also participated in the meeting as part of efforts to ensure adequate security and maintain peace before, during and after the election.
INEC urged all stakeholders to work together to ensure a smooth electoral process and create an environment where voters can exercise their franchise without fear or intimidation.
