House of Representatives Tasks Committee on Niger Delta to Investigate Contract Awarded to Dredging Atlantic Limited

The House of Representatives has mandated its Committee on Niger Delta to investigate the contract for the Opokuma Clan Erosion Protection in Bayelsa State awarded to Mr. Jide Agboola of Dredging Atlantic Limited in May 2004.

The Member representing Yenagoa/Opokuma Federal Constituency of Bayelsa State, Mr. Obokun Oforji, brought the matter before the House during the Plenary on Wednesday, noting that the company had a reputation for abandoning projects.

Following the Resolution of the House, the Motion was subsequently referred to the Committee on NDDC.
