GOVERNOR ZULUM COMMENDS NIGERIAN ARMY’S COUNTERTERRORISM EFFORTS

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, has praised the Nigerian Army for its unwavering commitment to combating terrorism and insurgency in the North East, particularly in Borno State.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, Governor Zulum highlighted the sacrifices made by the military in restoring peace and stability. He assured the army of his continued support and urged an accelerated push to facilitate the return of displaced persons to their homes.

In response, Lieutenant General Oluyede expressed gratitude to Governor Zulum for his collaboration and support. He reaffirmed the military’s resolve to create a secure environment that would enable rebuilding efforts and economic recovery in the region.
