Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has denied reports of a disagreement between his administration and the State House of Assembly over the 2026 Appropriation Bill.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, the governor said the executive remains committed to working with lawmakers to advance the interests of Rivers people.
The state government explained that the proposed 2026 budget has already been presented to the House of Assembly and is currently undergoing the required legislative process.
It expressed confidence that the lawmakers would pass the appropriation bill after completing their consideration of the proposal.
The clarification comes amid concerns about renewed political tension in Rivers State following previous disagreements involving the executive and legislative arms of government.
