FCT Police Command Arrests 300 Suspects, Recovers Arms and Ammunition

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has announced the arrest of 300 suspects and the recovery of a large cache of arms, ammunition, and illegal drugs in operations conducted between January and February 2025.

Commissioner of Police for the FCT, CP Olatunji Disu, disclosed this during a news conference in Abuja. He revealed that in several targeted raids and clearance operations, the police recovered arms from personnel of a sister security agency who were allegedly selling the weapons to suspected bandits.

CP Disu further stated that during the special operations, seven kidnappers were neutralized, while several others were arrested. The operations also led to the seizure of illegal drugs and other items linked to criminal activities.

The police commissioner emphasized the command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents in the FCT, urging the public to continue supporting law enforcement efforts.
