FCT Minister Wike Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Partnership with China

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike, has reaffirmed the FCT Administration’s commitment to deepening its partnership with China in key areas of development. During a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Yhu Dunhai, Wike emphasized the need to expand cooperation beyond infrastructure, calling for stronger collaboration in agriculture, ICT, and education.

Wike assured the ambassador of the FCT’s readiness to work closely with Chinese partners to ensure the successful implementation of these initiatives. He highlighted the importance of leveraging China’s expertise and resources to drive sustainable development in the capital city.

Ambassador Yhu Dunhai acknowledged the longstanding collaboration between China and the FCT, noting that past partnerships have significantly contributed to the city’s development. He commended the FCT Administration for its commitment to advancing key projects and assured Wike of China’s willingness to expand its support in critical areas.

The meeting underscores the FCT’s efforts to strengthen international partnerships and attract investments that will enhance the quality of life for residents and promote economic growth.
